Adepticon day 3 Team tournament

We are light on pictures due having an AWESOME time! Round one was versus Da Boyz from New York.

LOSE...but to a crazy nice team of guys and a really nice Tau army.

Round two against "I heart crabs", or as we call them the Swedes. Seriously cool guys from, wait for it.....Sweden.  they were offering shots and beer, having a rockin time and enjoying the day like no-one else.They were playing Necron Air mixed with IG blob squads defending the ground. They had some crazy blue and green flyers, but seriously clean and good looking paint. Solid strategy and a mistake or two were the only reason Allan and I could crack them. Allan and I drew and so did Nick and Wolf.

The third game was against "2 inch Charge" and their chaos marines/traitor guard combo. 4 drakes and a blight drone, plus a flying prince, my half tabled them, and the other team drew.

Day one wrap up

Exciting first day at Adepticon. Allan played in a Warhammer Fantasy 1000 point tournament. The went 50/50 and had a blast. I played in a Necromunda tournament and came in third overall. I did manage a few pics of some armies.

Adepticon Day 1

Adepticon championships are on and it looks like almost 1 in 5 armies is "cron-air". The remaining 4 are either multi drake chaos with noise marines or Imperial Guard airforce. I didnt want to interrupt any games for pics, so Ill post that up later.

In the meantime we ran into the powered play and took a close look at their kits. I have to say, I am impressed.

The vendor hall opens tomorrow, but for tonight we have Warhammer fantasy 1k point tournaments, weathering seminars and Necromuda tournaments. Let the geeking begin!

Adepticon Day 0

We made it! Surprisingly little traffic in Chicago proper, so despite a little rain we made it much faster than anticipated. We arrived at 6:50 and promptly got in line behind about 300 other nuts to register and get our swag. (which was quite generous)

 

This is the night before registration "officially" begins....all for the swag bag....

Today the events start in earnest for us.  I'm strting at 4 with necromunda and finishing at midnight in a weathering technique seminar....LONG DAY ahead. More updates as I get the chance.

Adepticon inbound!

Going to Adepticon 2013 this week. Ill be in the team tournament with team Kastorel Novem Imperialis. This will be my first Adepticon and I'm looking forward to a great time. Ill Bring back tons of pics!

Adepticon 2013 is coming up fast!

Wow, I'm getting overwhelmed with projects for Adepticon. Team Kastoral Novem Imperialis has a massive display for our army that is really turning into my biggest hobby challenge yet. I can't give it all away, but here is a WIP.

As you can see the Orks got hold of it.....or have started to anyway. The base is 42' to the boom arm, and I intend to use the vertical height!

This thing is PRETTY, and I am already running ideas through my head. There are a LOT of changes from the last edition so it will take some time to wrap my head around them.
